Hello and welcome to my website!
Here is some information about what I do. Please feel free to pick up the phone and give me a call for a chat any time on 07970 651717, or email me firstname.lastname@example.org
A bit of background... I was a professional opera singer for almost 20 years, with companies including Glyndebourne, Scottish Opera, European Chamber Opera, the Raymond Gubbay Arena productions at the Royal Albert Hall etc. Prior to that, I worked extensively as an actor and musical theatre performer in the UK and Europe.
It has been my passion and privilege to teach throughout my performing career. I now give regular concerts and solo recitals, but mostly focus on teaching, as well as running wonderful weekend workshops in a beautiful location (please see our website www.singingandwellbeing.com for more details, photos, video clips and biographical details - courses run throughout the year so let me know if you are interested.)
I teach privately at home in Acton, West London and am very happy to welcome potential students for a free consultation - whether you are a professional, a music student, a member of a choir or someone who just loves to sing and would like to improve what you do, I would love to help you. My focus is very much on encouragement, support and enjoyment of singing as well as improving your technique and helping you to become a better singer and performer.
I work extensively on breathing, vowels, resonance, support of the voice using the correct system of muscles, as well as developing confidence, expression and interpretation. My students include all levels of ability from beginners to professional/intending professional across different genres - classical, folk, pop, musicals, jazz etc . I offer individual support and encouragement to help you to develop in your own way and at your own pace.
Rate: £45 per hour (with a sliding scale depending on circumstances, and a discount system for block bookings).
Look forward to hearing from you!
